Singapore is island city located in south east Asia. Four official languages of Singapore are English, Malay, Chinese, Tamil. Singapore is the 5th most visited city in the world. (1) Gardens by the Bay

Garden by the Bay has three sections: Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. Dragonfly Lake is the largest of the two lakes inside the Bay Gardens. The 440-meter boardwalk along the eastern shore of the lake is perfect for exploring the area from the ground up.

Each of its four different zones draws inspiration from fairy tales and the storied hanging gardens of Babylon. It feature celestial spaces, dramatic drift sculptures and floral works. In the heritage garden, The three parts represent Singapore’s ethnic groups: Chinese, Malay and Indians. The fourth is about its colonial heritage.

In the Chinese Garden, you will see artistic artificial rocks, trimmed bushes and water elements mimicking nature. Malay Gardens has Mali crops such as coconut, durian, rambutan and breadfruit. The Indian Garden represents Hindu religious texts such as Ayurveda. Here you will find aromatic plants, from coffee and cocoa trees to rubber and cloves. 

The 25 to 50 meter tall structure culminates in giant canopies that provide shade from the sun. Each tree has a solid core, steel frame and several species of plants inside the trunk. In total, there are 18 additional large tresses. 12 at Supertree Grove, 3 at Silver Gardens and 3 at Golden Gardens.

The impressive Supertree Grove is the focal point of the garden by the bay. It consists of eight small trees, three large ones and one very large tree with a supertree observatory. The famous aerial route, the OCBC Skyway, connects two large trees 22 meters above the ground.

As you can imagine, the views from there are incredible. Lighting designer Adrian Tan and music composer Bang Wenfu created music show which describes the beauty of the gardens. This 15-minute show takes place every evening at 7:15 pm and 8:15 pm in the Supertree Grove.

The complex is topped by skypark with a capacity of 3,900 people and a 150 meter everlasting swimming pool installed on top of the world’s largest public cantilever platform, which encloses the north tower Up to 67 m.

The 20 hectare resort was designed by Moshe Safdie Architects. The major feature of the design is the three hotel towers which have 2,500 rooms and suites. The casino has a central atrium with multiple levels of gaming and entertainment at one location.

Marina Bay Sands was originally slated to open in 2009, but its construction suffered delays due to rising material costs and labor shortages. The resort and skypark were officially opened as part of a two-day celebration on 23 and 26 June 2010. The theater was completed on time for the first performance of Riverdance on 30 November.

The indoor skating rink, which uses artificial ice, opened on December 18 for a performance by Michelle Kavan. The Art Science Museum opened to the public with laser and water show on 19 February 2011. The SBG Heritage Museum has interactive and multimedia exhibits and panels showcasing its rich heritage. The CDL Green Gallery displays botanical exhibitions. One of the most beautiful places in the gardens is the Palm Valley. You will find it from the Nasim entrance.

The Symphony lake has a stage in the middle and hosts wonderful orchestra performances. While you’re resting, swing through the Evolution Garden, which takes you on a journey of plants for years. The Healing Garden is a place to spend an afternoon with quietness.

The world’s first safari for nocturnal creatures, the Singapore Safari Park which opened its doors on 26 May 1994. It currently houses more than 2500 animals. It took four years of strategic planning, hard work and millions of dollars to complete this ambitious project.

Night Safaris have some rare varieties of plants such as butterfly ginger and pigeon orchids at night. For over two decades Night Safari has cared for senior animals and has also seen the birth of new members, including Malayan tigers and Asian elephants.

The Night Safari is not a zoo by any means, as deer openly roam through 86 acres of dense forest, apart from it being completely different from the Singapore Zoo. There are 59 exhibits and each is assigned to a specific geographical area which is accessible via tram tours and walking trails.
